Film Academy Bursary Support
Financial help is available to support your participation in the Film Academy course.
Am I Eligible?
You may be eligible for a bursary if you need financial support to attend the course.
This can help cover:
Travel costs to and from the course
Childcare expenses
Other costs that might prevent you from participating
You can apply if you (or your parents/carers) receive:
Universal Credit
Council Tax Benefit
Child Tax Credit
Free School Meals (anytime in the past two years)
Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Don't receive these benefits? You can still apply if you're facing financial difficulty. Just explain your situation on the application form.
How Much Can I Get?
There's no set maximum amount.
You can apply for what you actually need. We ask that you:
Choose the most cost-effective travel options
Use public transport where possible
Travel standard class
Keep all costs reasonable
How to Apply
Step 1: Let your Course Leader know you need financial support
Step 2: Complete this Bursary Application Form:
Apply for Bursary Support → COMPLETE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Step 3: Your application will be reviewed.
Your COURSE Leader will assess your application and let you know the outcome as soon as possible.
HOW TO CLAIM
Step 1: Track your expenses during the course.
Download and complete our expense claim form (below)
with clear copies of your weekly tickets & receipts.

Subject: Travel Bursary Claim (your name)
Step 2: Get reimbursed
Once verified, you'll receive payment via bank transfer (BACS).
